Clay Webb, Ed.D.

Assistant Professor

Dr. Jack Webb began his career in education in the early 1980’s as a government teacher in a public high school in south Texas.  After five years of teaching, he then began his career in school administration as the assistant principal of a high school.  Over the next fourteen years Dr. Webb held positions of assistant principal of a high school, assistant principal of an elementary school, a high school principal and an intermediate school principal.  He feels fortunate that this service in campus level administration spanned pre-kindergarten through the twelfth grade.

In May, 2000, Dr. Webb earned a doctoral degree from Sam Houston State University and, two years later attained a position of superintendent of schools.  He served the last ten years of his public school career in that position.  During this same ten year period Dr. Webb also taught classes in the Masters of Education Program as adjunct professor at Sam Houston State University.  He retired from the public school system in Texas in December 2011 and began an exciting career in higher education at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in the Fall Semester 2012.
