Ronald Dore Ed.S. 

Instructor

Ronald Dore, an alumnus of the University of Southwestern Louisiana, now the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, majored in French and minored in Spanish.  He received his Master’s Degree from LSU in Baton Rouge in Administration and his Specialist Degree in Supervision also from LSU.  Ronald taught French and English at Cecilia Jr. High and Cecilia High School in St. Martin Parish for sixteen years, then transferred to Breaux Bridge High School as Assistant Principal, where he served in that capacity for three years.  From 1989 to 2008 he served as principal, also at Breaux Bridge High in St. Martin Parish, and after the completion of his tenure there, Ronald had spent a total of 38 years in public education.  

 

In 2009 Mr. Dore became an adjunct instructor at UL, teaching in the EDFL department, and 2011 he became full time EDFL instructor, organizing and redesigning the field experience format. Among some of his UL activities are: member of UL Scholarship Committee; Selective Admissions Committee; LERA member; spokesman to advise high school students in St. Martin Parish to attend the University of Louisiana at Lafayette; presenter in UL’s Teacher Prep Student Support Services; and safety coordinator of Girard Hall.
